LiveWhale Calendar 3.0.3 beta

This beta patch release includes further CSV import updates, a UI adjustment to prevent front-end toolbar style conflicts, and bug fixes. It also adds a new “Exclude from navigation” option to group calendars.

New calendar navigation option

By default, any LiveWhale Calendar group with a URL assigned (like /music/) will appear in the lw_cal_calendars dropdown list in your front-end theming. Previously, the only way to remove certain items from that list was with custom JavaScript. Now, we’ve added to the Edit Group page an option for excluding individual group calendars from that public navigation list.

New user import options

Since LiveWhale Calendar 3 separates out permissions from the earlier editor/publisher/curator/admin roles, you now have a lot of permission options. Those have always been importable via CSV with one column per row, but that can get a little unwieldy. With this adjustment, you can more simply import user permissions in a single comma-separated “permissions” column of your CSV. [docs: CSV User imports]

Behavior adjustments

  • Pending submissions and (for curators) drafts now appear on the Dashboard with the same formatting as they do on the Manager page.
  • Moved front-end toolbar into shadow root to prevent CSS collisions with front-end theming.

Bugs

  • Fixed an issue that could prevent rendering of SASS files that contain imported urls inside of included partials.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented certain fields (including event types, tags, and related content) from correctly syncing to other repeating events when saving a series.
  • Fixed an issue where switching widget templates in the widget editor could sometimes erroneously preserve settings from the prior template, even if they had not been customized or overridden.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the dashboard reporting chart to load at too small a size.
