Title: Latin American and Caribbean Field Research Symposium
Event description
Join us for a presentation of research from Berkeley graduate students who received the 2025 Tinker Field Research Collaborative Grant, awarded by the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies. Recipients conducted research across Latin America and the Caribbean, exploring a diverse array of topics, from intercultural medicine among Indigenous communities in Cauca, Colombia, to reparative flood engineering in Jamaica. At this symposium, students will share insights and experiences from the field.
Tinker Field Research Grants support graduate student research about Latin America and the Caribbean at the pre-dissertation level. Funding is generously provided by the Tinker Foundation through the Field Research Collaborative Program and matched by the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies.
These presentations will take place over two days. You are welcome to come for some or all presentations. Lunch will be served.
PRESENTATIONS ARE FROM 11 AM TO 1 PM. The specific presentation schedule and topics will be released soon.
